Infiniscene client v2 now available

Today, we’re rolling out the new and improved Infiniscene Client V2 for all Windows users. We’re beyond excited to share this with you all as it’s been a long time in the making. It has definitely had its fair share of late nights, long weekends, and many testing sessions. These are just some of the benefits that come with this new update…

  • New Encoding Methods
Through smart system profiling, the client uses a smart mix of hardware and software encoders to decrease CPU usage. If you don’t have hardware encoders, we default to more traditional encoding methods.
  • Auto-Updates
Get the latest and greatest client update automatically every time it opens.
  • More Faster…er
Everything is faster. Lower latency, faster previews, faster device enumeration, faster activation, and more.
  • Fresh Look
We revamped our installer and the application to be a bit easier on the eyes. More to come!
  • Improved Diagnostics
We can provide support and squash your bugs quicker thanks to a much quicker and more descriptive diagnostic and logging system.
  • More Frequent Updates
Completely rebuilt from scratch, the new architecture allows us to rapidly build and deliver improvements.

To upgrade to V2 as an existing user, all you need to do is go into your Account Settings and then proceed to the Devices tab. From there, click the “Download the Infiniscene Client” text and your download should begin shortly.

With all that said, this new client was built from the ground-up to use the latest encoding technologies and we have added a ton of improvements. However, this complete overhaul to our technology may come with some bugs. If you run into one, please let us know via the in-app chat.

Now, onto the topic of paid plans. Our original plan was to release the new client right after TwitchCon in hopes that we could ease people into V2 over the course of a month and then release paid plans come mid-November. We have some new ideas for the future of Infiniscene. That’s why we’re pushing the launch of paid plans to January 1st.

Our goal has always been to create the easiest way to share your story and we will continue to chase this pursuit of ours for many chapters to come. We hope you’ll be right there with us.
