Step 1: Download & Initial Setup
- Desktop Software: Download and install the Elgato Stream Deck application on your Mac or Windows computer.
- Physical Hardware: Plug your physical Stream Deck directly into your computer.
- Mobile Alternative: Download the Stream Deck app from the Google Play Store or iOS App Store to access six free hotkey buttons. Follow the in-app prompts to pair the mobile app to your computer.
Step 2: Profile & Application Setup
- Create a new profile within the Stream Deck software and rename it Lightstream.
- Target the profile to your web browser (the application running your Lightstream Studio session).
Step 3: Binding Hotkeys Use the Hotkey function in the Stream Deck software to bind your Lightstream keyboard shortcuts directly to the keys:
- Scene Transitions: Map Shift + 1 through Shift + 5 to switch across five standard scenes (e.g., Starting Soon, Live, Just Chatting, Be Right Back, and Stream Ending).
- Camera Toggle: Map the key H to quickly hide or show all camera feeds on screen.
Crucial Usage Note
- Active Window Requirement: Hotkeys only function when the browser window running Lightstream Studio is the active on-screen window. Ensure the browser has active focus during your stream.
